How to Apply to American English Language School in Los Angeles, California?

Occasionally when international students first contact us, they do not know where to begin. Prospective students know that they wish to study in a language school in the United States, but they do not know how. The process is fairly simple but can take some time to understand. To help students to better understand the F-1 visa application process, here are the steps to enrolling in American English Language School.

First, you will need to fill out an AELS application form with your information. Along with filling out our AELS application form, you will need to provide copies of your passport, proof of your highest level of education, and a recent bank statement. The proof of your highest level of education can be your high school diploma or college transcripts. As for the bank statement, it needs to be dated within six months of the date you are applying and show the total amount of your balance. It should also show your name and have the bank’s signature. The amount needed on your bank statement varies by how many quarters you are applying for, but the least amount required is $6,600. This amount would be for a student applying for one quarter (3 months). After you have all of the above documents ready, email them to admission@aels.edu.

After you have submitted your documents and our Office of Admission has accepted your application, you will be sent a link to complete your application fees. When we receive your payment, we will start working on your I-20 form and other application documents. You should receive your documents via email within one week of payment.

With your I-20 form and other documents, you are able to proceed with your F-1 visa application. First, you will need to fill out the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160). Next, you will need to schedule your visa interview. You will need to pay your fees, and then you can prepare for your visa interview.
